Izuku Midoriya copes and has coped with self-harm for years, burying the stress and pain of everyday life behind a very convincing smile and a dozen cuts. Then one miserable night he goes a bit too far and nearly scares the life out of his teachers. Luckily, and somewhat surprisingly, Aizawa is there for him and a journey to recovery begins.
Things are great! Or they would be if there weren't so many painful memories being dug up from the past. Why can't people just let him forget and move on? And why's the principal investigating his old school?
