Four months after the death of her boyfriend Ronja is pushing away everyone around her. But when she has a group project due in her Swedish class, she decides to team up with her bench mate, a foreign exchange student named Miles. He is the only one who didn't know her before Jim died and won't treat her differently because of it. He will also be gone in four months, so she doesn't have to worry about him judging her.

But as they work on their project Ronja soon realises how much she's missed having a friend and slowly starts dreading the day Miles returns home.
