Chapter 1 - Willow

Willow has never known freedom. She is a born debtor working for a company farm. A life that is both miserable and hard, until it gets worse. When Willow emerges from a tree as the first elf in centuries the world comes for her. Her life and future are now entwined to the highest bidder. Willow seeks to make the most of her newfound value, but the temptation of the world is hard to stave off. Lupen betrays a friend but gains a cause. Working with the Inquisition he seeks to break soul debts and free the soulless. It might be easier if he could read well. He seeks to be more than a drop in an ocean of voices.
