Prologue

Living in Melbourne, Australia, Kennedy Johnson grew up with the constant fear of dying after being diagnosed with cancer when she was only six years old. At the age of fifteen, test results confirm that she no longer has brain cancer, and would be able to live a normal life for the first time in nine years.

Unable to believe her cancer is finally gone, Kennedy is launched into the high school world; showing her that living as a normal kid comes with a lot more obstacles than she'd ever expected. Follow her in this journey through first loves, heartbreaks, and friendships, as she's faced with one of her biggest hardships yet - the tender years.
