When Amelia Sims moves across the country for a job she finds herself amidst the most unlikely bunch. Her new roommate has piercing blue eyes that causes her brain to short circuit, but is broody and doesn't give her the time of day until her dark haired, green eyes, Shakespeare quoting colleague starts showing her interest. She discovers he has a unique connection to her roommates and she finds her self in a world she wasn't prepared for. She's faced with new challenges and learns things about her own family that she never knew.
