Alex has a crap record with relationships. When her friends nominate her for a dating show, she's got nothing to lose, right? So what if her particular brand of weird is exactly the sort of thing that makes for good TV? She's just going to be herself - her maybe too physical and highly outspoken and shockingly honest self. Jonas didn't try to get into reality TV, and he's only in it for the paycheck. If girls want to subject themselves to the humiliation of being filmed 24 hours a day in their search for love, it's not his business to stop them, just point the camera. But Alex is different. He doesn't get why she's here, he doesn't get why she's talking to him, and he really doesn't like that his ex-boyfriend has jokingly granted him "protector rights" over a girl who's just an ex of an old enemy.
