I know she's in pain, yet I can't help but stare at her. She looks like she's just calmly sleeping, dreaming about who knows what. And, even though I don't want to acknowledge this certain category of thoughts, I can't help admire her. How pretty she looks. How her soft features curve into a tough, weathered frame. I can't help this either; I lean over and brush some of the crisp leaves on her hair, away. Then I arrange the halo of hair neatly, tucking it in the sides of her head. My finger accidentally grazes against her lower lip, and I flinch, withdrawing my hand back to myself abruptly. After a moment of thought, I sigh and curl up beside her, our arms pressing against each other's. Y/N's warmth gives me comfort, and makes my heart feel like it's calming. The huge tidal wave of fear that has been burrowing in my chest these past few days begins to wash away. A tsunami becoming a wave, becoming splash, becoming a few swirling eddies. There's one more thing I can't help; falling asleep with Y/N's weary breaths beside me, her chest rising and falling rhythmically. •·• This story is for young ages (12-18 years, but you're welcome to read if you're older) This is a Jurassic World, Camp Cretaceous fanfiction. I don't own anyone except for my OC and Y/N. Update schedule: One chapter every Friday or Saturday (depends on your location in the world) I sort of have a love-hate relationship with this story, so it will be heavily edited once finished. The Yasammy ship is not included because I just don't ship them. I ship Benmina, but this is a Ben x reader, so I can't exactly do that. Sorry if you like that ship.
