PREFACE

You've never really had a social life. Between your rocky relationship with your family, and your natural loner tendencies, real "friends" or anything more have always been nothing more than an anecdote in a story someone else has written, in your mind. Still, you've never particularly minded. You've always had your projects, after all! Your 'friends' were the machines you salvaged and brought new life, stored in your shed to keep you company. Among your favorites is a mechanical bear, whose stomach hatch and eyes have long since rusted shut... though sometimes, you could swear he's watching you.
