The summer of 1997 is truly one to remember for little ten year old Kim Burgess. This was the summer that she met Leslie Shay and Adam Ruzek. Leslie was the tough girl that no one messed with. Adam was the punk who thought picking on people was making him look cool. And Kim? She was the book nerd that no one cared to associate themselves with. That was until she became friends with Leslie when they found out they would be bunk mates. That summer was full of fun, laughs, games and, Adam being a jerk. Thirteen years later, Adam and Kim reunite when they are both employed with the Chicago Police Department. While meanwhile, Shay is on the Fire Department. Will Adam break his mean streak?
