A game where contestants must solve a staged murder mystery in a secret location. Winners are promised a multimillion dollar prize, but the game involves a real murder, and they have limited time to solve the crime. Remi Penwright and a group of strangers arrive at a remote location where one of them dies by the hands of someone there. If no one solves the crime before the time runs out, someone else dies. With each passing round, the timeframe gets smaller and the chances to die increase. If no one survives, the game master wins and the prize doubles for the next contest. The truth is more sinister than anyone could imagine, but the game master didn't count on a contestant like Remi Penwright.
