Dramatis Personae

All of Westeros knows the Dance of the Dragons was a war of succession fought between King Aegon the Second's Greens and Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen's Blacks. But the poets give it the moniker "The War of Five Queens", they sing songs of queens that plunged the Seven Kingdoms into madness. They sing songs of love between queens and hate between queens. They sing of kinslaying and treachery. They sing of Fire and Blood.

Perhaps the poets are wisest of all.
