Mav doesn't remember anything about her life before the Maze, but she does know one thing:

The Creators were the ones who put them there, and they were gonna pay.

But when shadows come to life, magic exists, and suddenly the Gladers are free from the Maze, Mav doesn't know what to do with herself.
