Description

[BXB] In which no love, however brief, is wasted in Aryeh Cohen's book, and in Eddie Abrams' amber eyes, whatever time with his first love is time well spent. Aryeh and Eddie have been the bestest of friends for eight whole years, and they have a multitude of things to show for it; tells for lying, inside jokes, countless shared memories, long-lasting platonic love. Aryeh is often times reckless and particularly venturesome, whilst Eddie keeps to himself and observes the world through the camera of a lens, but they don't oppose as often as you'd think. As a pair, their end goal is to leave the countryside in their small town to seek bigger and better things. Alas, things get rocky when romantic feelings arise like the Sun and the Moon. Eddie's always felt this magnetic pull to Aryeh, but he'd never thought much of it before. For years. Because feelings like this have been simmering since the beginning. Yet still, his overall perspective of the former boy gradually shifts, then the safe ground beneath him crumbles in an instant, replaced by uncertainty of what other people will think of him and self-loathing for his nature to overanalyze as well as overcomplicate. Nonetheless, he's aware of his tendency to people-please. A hyperactive mind accompanied by a reckless attitude: what could ever go awry? Everything. Literally everything. But it'll feel more than right. (Then perhaps, in the end, it could all be mended, too.)
