When Ellie realizes that Violet has been paired with a certain Rory du Pount for a class project, Violet realizes just how wildly her best friend's obsession has spiraled, especially when she begins to push Violet to pursue love over academics. In most circumstances, Rory du Pount could best be described as having walked straight out of a classic romance novel himself. Fairly tall, handsome, and (albeit somewhat) unapproachable, and by Violet's standards, entirely detestable. Especially as he has perfectly disrupted her plans and stolen her place at the top of their class for the past three terms.
