He packs up and runs into the forest. As he's trying to get to the town over-to hopefully live a better life-he finds something. He puts it in his bag and continues, hoping to sell it and get some money in the new town. However, he doesn't realize what the stone really is. This mystery book quickly turns into a teen romance with a twist.
