Description
Lara Youth looks like a normal girl going into her senior year of high school. She's got average grades, good friends, and healthy eating habits. What everyone does not see, however, are the struggles going on inside of her. Lara was diagnosed with three different disorders last year: Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Dissociative Identity Disorder. She has told her friends about all of her struggles but one: DID. The alters in her system keep fighting her, not to mention she's terrified that her friends will leave her once they find out. Being friends with a system is a burden not many people can carry, not to mention the intense burden of living it. But Lara has made herself a promise. By the end of senior year, she will tell her friends. She just hopes she gains the courage before graduation. On the way, she'll learn how to accept herself and her system the way they are, as she learns all about plurality. In the end, Lara and her system are just a little more than normal.
