new york city, 2009, a 21 year old girl named tara carpenter lives a miserable life, a 9 to 5 job, an apartment which is co-owned by a roommate, and no privacy or romance. however her life becomes much more interesting, and more dangerous. when her friend group is targeted by a vicious killer, and she meets a young and determined detective, who has been assigned tara's killer case.
