Muzan is a man that wants perfection to live, even when that means he has to start over from scratch in a new world with much more military personnel and people roaming the streets everywhere in Japan. It's the year 2024 also known as the 100th year anniversary of Muzan's "defeat" he got away from the demon slayers that day after losing all his progress, then after a couple years they presumed him dead as himself and no other demons had been seen since.
