This is basically an AU where Branch was born a girl but the boys decided to disguise him as a boy to fit the boyband role, and Branch actually really liked it. The band split up way after the time they did in the movie. The cover symbolizes how Branch thinks each of his loved ones would react to being trans, because he hadn't seen the bros since they were young. He believed Spruce would judge his scars (because he was the heartthrob,) he believed Floyd wouldn't mind much, because Branch was the first one to know about his homosexuality. He thought Clay wouldn't take him seriously, and he also feared Poppy would feel betrayed, or disgusted because Branch kept it a secret for a long time.
