Nunya is not your average teenage girl. She lives with a strict but caring aunt who fills in for the parents she does not have. Although life isn't really a bed of roses, she's grateful for her assets, Janet and her brother, Jake, and a drama-free life.

Then the drama starts. Janet wants a new boyfriend, and that has become the start of many problems for Nunya at school. And while her bond with Janet seems to be dwindling, she realises that she is slowly falling for Jake.

As if that is not enough, a total stranger shows up and tells her he is her father and she begins to question her aunt's integrity.
