"I'll leave all of them, but I want something in return," he replied, gently wiping the tears from her eyes with his thumb. She shivered and took a step back, but he was faster, pulling her closer by her waist. "You can't get away from me, my Muse. The more you try to distance yourself, the closer I'll get," he whispered, brushing his cheek against hers. "Please...just leave them," she managed to say, attempting to push him away. "Marry me, and I promise to leave them unharmed," he proposed.
