"Why are you so afraid to let people close to you?" I ask.
"Why do you make it so hard for me to treat you like other girls?" He ignores my question by asking one of his own.
"How do you treat other girls?"
He kisses my head and separates himself from me. "Not like this."
"Nolan." I stopped him from going farther away from me.
"Yeah?"
"Stay."
"Only if you choose me."
"I can't."
"I know you want to."
I didn't respond. I didn't know how to. Do I?
