Ring had spent 16 years of his life being the perfect child for his parents. Always helpful, kind, and most importantly, number one. Whether he wanted it or not, every moment was spent studying and getting number one. For him, studying was all he knew how to do and the only thing he could do. So, when he caught a wisp of freedom he tried anything to reach it again. Even if it hurt him somewhere along the way.
