Foreword

After his grandma dies, Neptune Sulworth is forced to move in with his only living relative still in the country- his drunken, indifferent mother, who lives in the south west town of Bradley Stoke. His life suddenly becomes suffocated by her presence and he starts to feel angry and hopeless.
Cassidy Grove has lived in Bradley Stoke all her life with her Bristolian family and is the laughing stock of her school. Suffering from extreme lack of confidence, she feels useless and awkward- which isn't helped when she develops a crush for the boy next door.
