Chapter 1: The Day the World Ended

The zombie apocalypse is such an integral part of pop culture, but what happens when the zombies die off? What do you with your life after? Claire finds out when she has to survive on her own after the infection claims her husband and everyone in her home town in East Texas. After months of being alone, she meets AJ and Doofus, his dog, who invites her to come with them to the Air Force base in Little Rock, Arkansas where a group of survivors have set up a community. Is it happily ever after for Claire? Will they even survive the journey?
