Author's Note

Misanna has dreamed of being recruited by a royal Academy since she could carry a sword, and when she finally receives her letter from Stone Hill at the age of sixteen, she believes all her dreams to be coming true. But when tragedy strikes and Misanna is forced to flee, she finds herself at the mercy of the realm's premier Academy, second to none, where recruits are trained to aid the King himself. Now tasked to eat, sleep, and train with the best up-and-coming fighters in the realm, Misanna has to fight to survive a new looming threat to the kingdom's long held peace, as well as the many trials facing her within the walls of King's Academy.
