Chapter 1

Charlie thinks about many things in her ordinary day-to-day life like:

They are completely out of non-heart-shaped Cheerios and she is pretty sure she will die of starvation if she doesn't somehow score a new box.

She still hasn't done any laundry despite her mother's warnings and hasn't finished unpacking either.

And how TV sucks lately, and everything is just so overly saturated.

Or how she can barely breathe as a strong gloved hand clasps tightly over her mouth in an attempt to silence any of her screams.

Charlie thinks about a lot of...you know, normal things.
