Nya Catalano has moved a lot, yet not very far, and for no apparent reason. Nya never really questioned it, nor did she question her mother's extreme paranoia until one night when she overheard a frantic phone call. Since then Nya and Landon, a boy who works at the local home improvement store who seems to know a little too much about futons, have begun questioning everything her mother has been doing, and everything she has been hiding. Will Nya finally figure out what her mother has been keeping from her? Or will Nya end up hurting herself and everyone she loves in the process?
