My Favorite Color

Kate was born with messy, bright purple hair. It sticks up in odd ways and makes her an easy target for bullies, of course. She spends all of her time dyeing and re-dyeing her hair black, attempting to hide the purple that lies underneath. It works, kind of. Until one day, when the black dye doesn't cover the purple, and quickly starts fading. Now, Kate has to make a decision. Will her life end here and turn into a neverending, futile attempt to redye her hair, or will she decide it might be time for a change?
