Description
Albert Rook joined a secret organization, known as the Slant Pages, while attending the Satis Institute of Cultural Affairs as a junior film student. The Slant Pages meet to write critiques of the Plenty regime and learn about life before Plentism. Now a year later, the Slant Pages are caught gathering by the Masters. Albert must learn to say goodbye to the man he loves, and about what people are willing to do when they have nothing to lose. Sometime during the early twenty-second century, the Republic of Satis receded from the international stage as production of main exports were hindered by natural disasters and domestic unrest. On the brink of economic collapse and famine, the political ideology of Plentism was invented. The Plenty party wrote the manifesto wherein they decreed a nation is only as mighty and intelligent as its national agenda, therefore all citizens must contribute to it, and all citizens will always be rewarded by the Plenty for their work.
