CHAPTER 1

Elara (Rhysand's sister) escapes from Lord Beron after years of captivity. She returns home but finds that even though she has everything she wants, she can't let Beron go without retribution. As her revenge becomes out of control, her inner demon begins to craft her into the monster she is trying to punish. Will she succumb to her desire for vengeance and lose herself in the process, or will she find the strength to confront her fears and achieve the peace she so desperately craves?
