Author's Note

Maria Elena Pitney starts out her new life at Duel Academy, living in the Slifer Red dorm and meeting some friendly faces and one not so friendly in the form of Chazz Princeton.

However, a tag duel tournament is coming and Chazz has a proposition for Maria to be his tag partner for the duration of the tournament. Little do they know, something begins to blossom between them.

But things are about to get strange when a mystery is brewing during the tournament. Can Chazz and Maria find out the strange source? And to top it all off, what does his brothers, Slade and Jagger have to do with it?
