My best friend, Lana, won't shut up about her new boyfriend. She claims he's the man of her dreams, the man she's been hoping for since she was young.

I attend a dinner party- one that Lana invited me to. This will be the night I finally meet the love of her life, the man who has stolen her heart.

I leave the room to grab a bottle of wine from the kitchen, ready to toast to my best friend. As I return, the front door opens. It's Lana, with her plus one. The wine bottle drops from my hand, falling to the floor below me.
