Krystal's mother, Jacqui, was killed in the CDC explosion. From that moment on, Krystal felt like an outcast from her group. She felt like she had no one and was alone in the world. Krystal made a choice to rise up and become the woman her late mother once was. She became Rick Grimes' right-hand woman, fighting alongside him against the dead and fighting to survive.
