Description
When there's no rest for the wicked, the wicked plan the road trip of their afterlives. Monster-slaying siblings Saffy and Oz Nightingale are in trouble. Stranded far from home after a mission goes wrong, they're left with no choice but to ride with the first friendly stranger they meet. The catch? That stranger is a ghost, and their help comes at the price of following their own country-spanning, spirit-summoning itinerary. Their road trip soon runs weirdly and wildly off-course. A zealous supernatural cult is riding their start-up hype to spread their apocalyptic word, and an even more zealous, all-too-natural human paramilitary force is on their tail, hellbent on eliminating all monsterkind. Oh, and there's a mysterious eldritch girl that doesn't remember who she is or where she's going, but handles a set of inks like she was manifested to do it. Danger creeps closer to Saffy and Oz with every mile they cover. With the world descending into chaos around them, their odds of making it home in time for their younger sibling's Slayer induction dwindle away. Can they get themselves and their monster tripmates to their destinations, or will they hit the end of the road all too soon?
