Spectacle of the Soul

"What do you think happens when we die?" was what Altan's best friend asked hours before his own death. Now mostly healed from his loss, Altan simply wishes to live a happy life. Though the world moves on quicker than he can as technology, health, and altruism grows ever further across the utopian society he calls home. However right as he's on the verge of becoming at peace with himself, the first murder in over a century shakes the foundation of the utopia to its core, and if one death is all it takes to rattle it, then what's to come will surely lead to a point of no return as the answer of what comes after death will no longer stay a mystery.
