Chapter One - Clara

Clara Hawthorne's entire life was dance. Until, a sudden hip injury takes her from dance forever.

Now forced to walk with a cane, Clara turns to a new passion. Medicine. Graduating from college and becoming a physical therapist Clara is ready to start anew.

One problem. She can't find a job. The only place willing to take her is the local VFW.

Meanwhile, Jackson Thomas, a born soldier who enlisted the day he graduated high school, is in an explosion. Jackson, greatly injured must relearn how to walk and is sent home.

Assigned to Clara for therapy the two tend to but heads until those conflicts turn into something more.
