First days as Huge Hive Soldier

This is my attempt at writing a bit of fan fiction from one of my favorite games, based off a character I found compelling. The main character is a creature known as a Hiver, essentially humanoid ants, but this one was exiled from the hive for being too big. What would the first few days be like when ripped from the world you were designed for? How would it feel to be abandoned for being too good for the job, but just not worth the extra cost to keep you? And at the end of the day, what is it like being a bug man in a cruel world?
