"Gods are such odd beings - some are stronger, some less so. Some are leaders while some are hermits. Some are praised for their unsurpassable intelligence, while others rely on their strength alone. They all have diverse strengths, mindsets and methods. However, there is one thing that unites all of these elite beings - Their own imperfection. Yet we don't seem to notice that. Even after thousands of years, those who don't unconditionally worship the divine are mistreated, persecuted and killed, simply because we are 'sinners'. And why? What exactly separates the gods from us? What makes us worthless sinners while they get to enjoy praises at all hours? The fact that they were born with power? Power that they haven't worked for, nor deserve? What have they done for us, no, for you? What have they done to deserve your undying loyalty? What have you done to deserve countless hardships at their hands and be deemed a worthless and unholy sinner from birth? Moreover, have they done anything to deserve being deemed as saintly? No! Their powers do not add to their worth, and our lack of them does not diminish ours. If they have the right to condemn us, then so do we! If they have the right to give and take away then so do we! If they have the right to put us through misery as part of their mysterious plan for the greater good, then so do we! If they have the right to enforce their own justice then so do we! Rise, 'sinners' who have been wronged by these false saints, for we have been silent for too long! If our judgement of the divine is a sin, then I am proud to call myself a sinner!" What a speech. I spent quite a few hours writing it. However, the reason I got so far wasn't the stainless justice that many had gathered to see. My motive was much simpler - revenge. "The gods know best."
