Damon Salvatore's ex-wife Zoey Robinson comes to Mystic Falls Virginia to visit her best friend/ brother in law for Stefan Salvatore's birthday. She hasn't seen the brothers since Damon divorced her back in 1987 but always kept in contact with Stefan and wanted to surprise him in person. She was only supposed to stay for one night then go back home, but that didn't end up happening not with Damon Salvatore trying to make her his once more.
