Description
Yurr is water. Fifteen islands form a ring around its perimeter, each with its own people and customs. Ever, traveling by ship with his family, has spent the last twenty years visiting every single one of them. And yet, he still does not know what sand feels like beneath his boots. He has not seen what lies beyond each island's shore. Ordered to remain on the ship at all times, his life has been nothing but raising the sails and and swabbing the poop deck. Tired of being the good noodle, he eventually sneaks off the ship in pursuit of his parents. They spend hours on end in the island cities, and he's ready to know why. But as he navigates the new world, he comes to realize why his parents were so adamant about shielding him from view. There's a revolution brewing, one that Ever doesn't necessarily disagree with. But since his death is prophesied to mark the rebels' victory... Well, he might have a tiny problem with that. The people he wishes to help want him dead, and the ones he wants overthrown wish to protect him by any means necessary. Ever is stuck between a rock and a hard place.
