Part 1

After war and famine have devastated much of the Earth a team of researchers land on Mars with the intention of terraforming it to suit the needs of Earth's population. Almost immediately, the plan goes awry. Shonda, a geologist, and Martin, a security officer, must try to survive when they are left behind in the evacuation.
