Prologue

Ironically, the one word most people would use to describe Jade Carico was: jaded.

Sure, she had a family, whether it be a good one or not is beside the point, and her two amazing best friends, Melanie Gray and Olivia Hunt, but Jade still lacked that excitement in her life that constantly seemed just out of arms reach.

Jade knew what she wanted: Melanies brother, Harley. He was the excitement that she longed for. Of course Jade knew going after her best friends brother was a cliché bad idea, but she was so jaded, bored with her everyday life. Maybe this was exactly what she needed to spice everything up.
