July 1998 For days, the idyllic small town of Raccoon City has been plagued by gruesome murders. The bodies found have been disemboweled and partially consumed; both animal and human traces were detected. And so the local newspapers are talking about "cannibals" and "wild dogs." Rebecca Chambers, RPD's youngest member of S.T.A.R.S., is sent out with her team to locate a hiking group that ventured into the Raccoon Forest despite the citywide curfew. Unexpectedly, the team's helicopter experiences engine failure and crashes. After losing contact with the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team, the remaining Alpha Team sets out to find and rescue their missing comrades. It still appears to be just a routine mission gone awry. However, what starts as a simple rescue mission turns into a true nightmare - and so Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine find themselves confronted with a horror that turns their worst fears into reality. © Capcom.
