Prologue

Velocity is an orphan, an unwanted child, a mistake. But not only that, they're also an Ashscales, meaning they don't have fire. They are going to go to a prestigious school called Glasswing Academy located upon the mountains near Diamond Spray Delta, where they plan on getting their education to become a healer. But little do they know what awaits at the school...

This is a WoF fanfic set after book 5 and not taking anything after it into consideration. Beware spoilers for the first five books. And Darkstalker. Lots of spoilers for him.
