chapter one: a new life

This story follows 19 year old Evangeline DeCarmille, the daughter of a French nobleman who is far too outspoken for her fathers liking and has been sent to live a humble life in the Romanian countryside for 2 years to get her out of the public eye and save her families image after she made a few bold lcomments during a toast at the kings annual ball, in front of everybody. She now lives in the Romanian countryside, and just so happens to have caught the eye of a certain vampire.
