Sonia Jenkins till now doesn't realise she is far from normal. Sonia thought she was 'normal', living a happy carefree life with her family. Her Dad, Devon Jenkins, is mayor of their town Clockworks which is very futuristic compared to the outside world. Her brother Kolton, loves Sonia dearly and their Mom, Carol, cooks meals that are mouth-watering. Their little town only consist of twenty families. They got together to form a town due to their differences and being unable to integrate into society due to their supreme inventive skills. But that's only what all the children of the town thinks. The town is filled with secrets that are hidden for a powerful purpose and cannot be revealed till the Ember comes.. Meanwhile, Sonia is trapped in her new school and slowly learning that she was born with a much more important reason then living in normality..
