This book contains dark themes such as depression, self-harm, gore, violence, gun violence, sexual assault, abuse, strong language, etc The Walking Dead and other movies that take place in zombie apocalypses will be mentioned a ton. All credits the creators of these movies/shows. The Walking Dead was a big inspiration to this book and was used as a reference for survival, not storyline. Any event that is similar to the shows in coincidental and was not done intentionally.
