Headlights were the last thing to flash past their eyes, bright as the sun. Then there was nothing. No sound, no feeling in disjointed limbs, no screech of tires. Nothing. The first sound to slip past their ears was the sound of something quietly breathing. They make the simple mistake of looking up at the evening sky. To see the moon staring back at them,a grinning sight,blocky teeth stained in red droplets bigger than they could comprehend. -- They should be running. They don't speak. They can't find it within themself to want to speak. Medusa speaks for them. "An enigma in this world." She speaks as if they were supposed to know what she meant. They only take a step backwards, scuffing feet along stone. "Something meant for study. To be torn bare and see the..soul of." Medusa sits calmly. This air of calm of her, even if her child were wound tight as a taut string behind her,waiting for some sort of instruction. "Such a strange thing." Medusa states,without so much as a twinge of emotion crossing her face "You should be Dead, to be without a soul." "Without what?" -- Here I am, writing a fanfic for a nigh-dead fandom :D someone come share this fixation with me This is an Isekai story, as most of mine tend to be.
