Chapter 1

Julie Robinson, an eighteen year-old senior living in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is regular. She's in the regular middle-class part of the neighborhood, has regular friends, has regular grades, has a regular life. She's not a greaser and she's not a Soc, just a girl trying to get through life. She likes a greaser, Two-Bit Matthews, but will never admit it to him. She doesn't want to get mixed up in the whole greaser-Soc business. But fate can turn on you at any given moment; that happens one night at a drive-in when one greaser takes things a step too far.
